wide, long, and normal shells have their shell ranges significantly buffed
wide is a bit longer than vanilla long,
long is ~bow/lbg perfect zone,
normal is slightly longer than wide (although normal shells not too useful)
wyrmstake proc damage is nerfed by 25%. since wyrmstake procs were anywhere from 43 - 54% of your damage, this lowers dps by average ~13%, and ofc makes flinch a tiny bit harder to get.
but you can proc it almost 100% of the time basically no matter where it is on the monster, and a lot more range. may need to be nerfed even more!
V2: long/wide shell and charged shell damage also nerfed by 15% compared to vanilla.
gunlance has very good flinch and stagger potential, so along with hitting from much further, staggers were common too, allowing a ton of free dmg. this nerf makes hunts take a lil bit longer, as they were too short with the range buff. poke -> shell -> poke -> shell playstyle on wide is indirectly nerfed due
to this change, so i added 5 flat damage to pokes. this should help poke -> shell wide still be good! plus, wide still gets to hit wyrmstake blast much easier.
this mod also includes 2 QOL:
regular/charge/wyvernfire blasts from all shells deal a small amount of soften damage, ~1 to 2. 100 regular shells = fully softened area, ~65 charged = fully soften if you hit all in one place). this just helps you build up soften in multiplayer slowly, over time, and i think it looks cool (adds basically no damage)
wyrmstake also lasts forever inside monster. quest timer will run out before it ever falls out. i hate having to pick up slinger ammo + slinger capacity.
