RESTORING ATTRIBUTES:
During the course of adventures of one born under a daedric birthsign, your character may need to restore attributes. This is a small guide to help.
Imperial and Tribunal Shrines and can restore all attributes, as well as potions sold in alchemists shops. However, for roleplay purposes you may steer clear of these places. Here is some information on restoring attributes with alchemy, restoration, beverages, and enchanting:
ALCHEMY:
These herbs may be eaten or brewed into potions for stronger effects. Eating them is less effective but requires no alchemy experience:
Stoneflower: restore strength, found in abundance between Balmora and Caldera, as well as the Grazelands
Heather: restore personality, found on the south coast north of Vivec and other fertile areas of Vvardenfell
Bonemeal: restore agility, found in the urns of tombs
Bittergreen petals: restore intelligence, grows in arid, dry areas
Kresh fiber: restore luck, found growing on coasts near water
Trama root: restore willpower, found in arid, hilly areas
These ingredients need to be brewed by an experience alchemist to be used:
Resin, raw ebony, meadow rye, nirthfly stalks: restore speed
Gravedust, scales, horn lily bulb, timsa-come-by flowers: restore endurance
Because these ingredients are more rare and difficult to use, the daedric signs that damage speed and endurance would benefit from Alchemy as a major or minor skill.
RESTORATION:
Restore attribute spells are also available: try the temples in Ald'ruhn, Vivec, or Molag Mar. The Imperial Cult has an early quest that rewards a restore attribute spell. However, those shunned by civilization may need to try other sources. The Ashlander Zainab camp is rumored to have a wise woman that knows these spells.
BEVERAGES:
Alcohol & perfume are another great way to get attributes up, albeit only temporarily, and they have their own side-effects. For endurance and willpower try Cyrodillic Brandy, a favorite of Sanguine and Malacath. For strength try Flin, Greef, Mazte, and Sujamma, the stuff dreams are made of. Skooma is great for speed and strength, favorites of Hircine and Vaermina. Shein fortifies endurance, another Malacath favorite. Telvanni Bug Musk fortifies personality, so it can hide the deeds of Dagon, Meridia, and especially Namira.
ENCHANTING:
Perhaps the most appealing way of restoring attributes, depending on your build, could be crafting your own helpful enchantments. Once you learn your first restore attribute spell, you may then put any restore attribute enchantment on an item. Enchanting a cast-on-use item to restore 1-2 points for 2 seconds is a cheap enchantment that doesn't require a large soul gem.
Your enchantments will refill their charge on their own, but will do so faster as your enchanting skill progresses.
Enchanting on your own can be frustrating, but fortifying your intelligence and/or luck will help your chances. If you can afford to pay an enchanter, you don't have to worry about this, but some enchantments can be quite expensive.
There is at least one already enchanted item that restores attributes, rumored to be adorned on the neck of some Bosmer in Telvanni territory.
