Red Mountain (RM) changes:

  • Increased RM peak to about 55 000 units with huge increase of it's volume. Changed the shape of RM into stratovolcano with caldera on it's peak.

I don't like what happened in RM - in lore we have "Sun's Death event" - eruption of a very high VEI index (considering the ash covered the sky for an entire year, and rocks falling from RM as far as... Cyrodill!!!), and even after that RM is the highest peak in known world of Tamriel, until it's second big eruption after the fall of Baar Dau.

Also we can see during TES: Arena (timeline about 30 years before the events of Morrowind) that the RM is a stratovolcano.

Also we can see during TES: Skyrim that RM is a stratovolcano and much higher then what we see in Morrowind.

And yet in Morrowind RM has a different shape and height.

  • Changed weather patterns of RM.

While I know the lore says that RM is in a state of 100% blight, it makes little sense to me - Ghostfence is not that high to prevent blight from moving, it's more like a barrier against corprus monsters and other blight infected creatures.
Now there is a low chance for blight storm, but there can be overcast, rain, thunderstorm, snow, blizzard, fog and ashstorm weather.

  • Changed RM volcanic activity from dormant volcano into active eruption.

During TES: Arena, TES: Daggerfall, TES: Online - Vvardenfell is full of lava flowing from RM. My understanding is that RM is in a state of constant eruption, or at least often erupting, perhaps through Dwemer activity, as it means that lava is of basaltic type "flowing like water", and then we would not have a stratovolcano, but a shield volcano like Mauna Kea, or a giant caldera after the collapse of stratovolcano. Lava composition can change, but could it happen between "Sun's Death" event and the vanishment of the Dwemer race? My explanation is that the Dwemer mechanism changes the lava to be less thick.

After the Dagoth's Ur defeat and losing the possible power source for the Dwemer mechanisms, lava begins to thicken which led to eruption after a trigger of the fall of Baar Dau.

It's sad that the Nerevarine seems to be a pawn of Daedric Lord Azura to punish not only the Tribunal but all the Dunmer for the sins of the false gods, but she did it before. She is a "good daedra", so she saved all of Tamriel by sacrificing Dunmer, perhaps - by eliminating the Dagoth Ur and  a source of deadly corprus disease, and a giant golem that could conquer all of Tamriel.

  • Removed all the trees on RM, and most of the plants.

There is something like the tree line - a height to where the trees can grow - there are no trees in very high elevation.

Also lava burns trees without the need to touch it, it's so hot (like 700-1200 d. celsius) to burn them from distance.

Ash and snow covers the plants, acid rain, blight, avalanches, low temperature or very high - these are not very good conditions for plant life.

  • Added ash instead of RM landscape textures, removed shading from ash.

By looking on photos (like La Palmas), I noticed that ash is rather uniform in shading, so all ash has no shading, I will add brown shading from rusting dwemer builidngs, black spilling oil.

  • Added additional volcanoes.

There is a picture of Dagoth Ur in TES: Arena, clearly there are many volcanoes around RM, not just one cone. Dagoth Ur is placed into different cell into a parastic cone of RM, just like it was on Arena map, AND pre-release map, and even in Morrowind Guide to Vvardenfell it is visible a giant caldera with something bigger (more important) on the north part of RM and no trace of Dagoth Ur cone in it's oryginal location.

  • Changed names of cells.

On pre-release map there is a "Star Wound" - it's a location where the Heart of a God has fallen from the sky - my RM peak and peak caldera of RM volcano.
I also named Endusal cell - which for some unknown reasons had no name.

As my RM extends beyond it's cells - I changed some ashlands cell into RM.

Ossuaries (from Memento Mori mod) also got their cells properly named, just like Ghostgate cell.
