Looking great so far! In case you need some inspiration:

I think her drawings inspired Tiddy, the original author of some of those market stalls:)

That square was begging for a proper market, looks so weird all empty. My first ever permanent change to vanilla cities was Ashlander traders.

With what mod? Surprisingly few touch it. And I'm guessing this screenshot is a WIP for Vitruvian's Balmora City of Contrasts?

Completely agree. The lack of a market specifically in Balmora always felt wrong to me.

This was justified by performance issues. But I think I've found a good enough work around. In the screenshot there are seven vendors and only three of them are in the infamous -3 -2 cell.

Yes, it is City of Contrasts WIP. To be released this week, unless feature creep pushes me towards adding even more quests.

But also I'm going to release the marketplace as a standalone.

It's important for adding the impression of industry to the world, especially Balmora as you point out. Also the chance to make your traders (npc's most players will visit) interesting characters is a rich opportunity to enhance the world and deliver lore or quests diegetically. Ashlander Traders gave the player an early taste of Ashlander culture, which is entirely missing otherwise and a huge part of the texture of Morrowind's lore. Anyway, fingers crossed you give the armorer a forge and leave an optional space for my boys AT but regardless, looking forward to this one!
