About this image
Several months ago, I inadvertently mucked up my Morrowind installation, but instead of trying to fix things, I decided to just uninstall it, since half of my mods were out of date anyway. I finished rebuilding my new installation a few days ago. As ever with this game, it's lovely to be back.

Critical to say, though... there's no way I'd be able to take most of these shots without the incredible mod authors who keep this game beautiful and alive.
I often struggle in deciding which era modded Morrowind looks like it's from. If I had to put a number to it.. I'd say somewhere between 2010 and 2015-ish +, depending on things like the region of the game, and the available mods, meshes etc. For example, some areas, like those around Azura's Coast (or parts of Tamriel Rebuilt) look stunning enough to almost be mistaken as current gen... but Solstheim, especially the 'mountainous' zones, is another matter, entirely. Of course, in the latter case, the fact that we have Skyrim does influence perception, I suspect.
Still though, above all.. Morrowind has always been its own, very unique thing... which I think significantly adds to the timelessness of its visuals. After all, there's no real basis for comparison.... Hence, Solstheim tends to stand out as appearing a bit older, I feel.
