Jiub is the first person you see in the game and once you enter the Census and Excise Offices, Jiub will disappear from the game along with the ship. Until now.
The bond you have formed with Jiub has been rekindled. Jiub is your commissioned officer and captain of Dawns Light, the same, but improved prison ship you both found yourself on when arriving in Seyda Neen. Converted to your own personal exploration vessel and home, Dawns Light is currently docked in the far South. It contains plenty of storage, with some added decoration that brings the ship to life, while retaining some of its original rustic flavor. And of course it contains a luxury bed for you, as well as a separate captains cabin for Jiub, who faithfully attends and defends the boat while you are away.
For your convenience, there is also an amulet hidden in Seyda Neen that when activated, will portal you to your ship. But you might want to hold off using it until you have learned Mark and Recall. Here is your only clue as to the location of the amulet: Do you have any good recipes for roasted marshmellows? If need be, the location can be found below on the spoiler section:

When running the game, click the "data files" option and select "Dawns Light". You're all set. Dawn's Light does not change any lore or interfere with any quests.
