Ever wonder why the Telvanni didn't have teleportation services?
Well here is the answer. They have been keeping the good stuff for themselves.
This adds two restocking tomes to the enchanter in Tel Vos.
(Technically they are rings masked to look like tomes.)
The first tome can mark up to five people live or dead.
Once a person or creature is marked they can be recalled, spoken to at a distance, or revived.
The second tome can mark up to five locations.
Once a location is marked it can be recalled to.
Each tome keeps track of its own data.
Thus the more tomes one has, the more people and locations one can be store.
The tomes can be enchanted to give unique names to each one.
Mark and Recall costs 20 magicka, Far Speaking costs 5 magicka, Revive costs 100 magicka.
How to use:
Go to the enchanter in Tel Vos to get the tomes.
Do the equip action and close menu to activate the dialogue menu.
Get more tomes if you think you need more space.
Tip:
The most recently used item of identical types goes to the end of the list. (for telling identical items apart if you don't want to enchant)
Gimmicks:
Each tome adds about 20 kb to save file size.
Each tome in the current cell of the player will use 20 kb of ram.
The tomes will equip once for initialization and will then not equip again.
Equipping them is still what activates them.
Corpses can be moved using the tome on dead people. ( Take that M'Aiq. )
You have to visit ( or recall a person ) per save load before Force Greeting will work.
If you haven't visited an NPC in a save load and you recall them and they have a script, then you will have to change cells before the script will start.
NPCs that were dead to begin with still can't be rezzed. :(
Rezzing an NPC resets their inventory, so, yes, that is exploitable.
The reason that each tome only holds 5 slots is because any more would cause memory overload errors for the script.
Requirements:
Tribunal Bloodmoon (script engine fixes) and MWSE (I use the nightly build, but I think this should work with 0.9.1)
Compatibility:
It is not compatible with OpenMW
It should be compatible with everything else so long as Alenus can still sell clothes and has not been moved out of her cell.
If not then the they can still be added with
player->additem "0nmMRM_clRingMRPerson" 1
player->additem "0nmMRM_clRingMRMass" 1
or whatever amount desired.
Versions:
1.1: Fixed a bug where every 6th NPC was skipped for finding a markable person.
