About this mod

This is a simple rebalance to the mod Apotheosis Reborn by MrFahrenheit247, I had personally found that roleplay potential of becoming a god or receiving the power from the Heart of Lorkhan to be very entertaining. The mod literally makes you a god, but it is very much too overpowered.

Apotheosis Reborn (BALANCED)

MrFahrenheit247's Apotheosis Reborn gives the player the chance of what happens if the Neravarine decided to make him/herself a god. The original mod decided to give you this chance, by literally making the console commands in Morrowind irrelevant. Players can hit harder than vivec and conquer 20 wolves in bloodmoon without a sweat. While this mod does give someone a great power fantasy experience, it is not very gameplay-friendly isn't it? It kills all progression and makes the game pretty much a boring click fest. because of these issues, I wanted to address them in a way that makes the player very powerful, but still mildly allows a player to play the game without killing vivec in one hit.

Changes
The changes are in orders of magnitude much weaker than the original mod. The mod's main idea is that it buffs passively an already powerful player to be more capable in gameplay. gameplay-wise, rather than having 250 strength, you only receive a passive fortify attribute of 15 strength. This combined with corprus makes a player very strong, but still allows a player to level up regardless.

My headcannon is that a player seeking godhood, probably doesn't really know how to achieve godhood, but can have a very small piece of that power compared to what the Tribunal received. This still makes you God-like in Vvardenfel, but you are not Vivec at his prime, although combining corprus and a level 40 player character, you may as well be classified a god with this mod.

Before explaining the new buffs many things are removed for gameplay sake.
  • Players will not be saved and returned to the chamber. It makes no sense gameplay-wise and in lore, the heart is gone, you don't have a connection to the heart anymore, and your power only diminishes without the heart.
  • Player skill buffs such as mercantile at 500 or conjuration at 5000 are completely removed. This again, kills any chances of a player being able to level up these needed skills.
  • Godly material such as the God mortar and Godly blade are not obtainable outside of console commands.
  • Every spell and ability has been replaced or removed, these spells really just added an already crowded inventory of spells, and made it even more messy to organize and understand which one was which.
Now on to the new spells and buffs that are received when achieving godhood. mind you, you still need to use a command creature spell before doing the final hit on the Heart of Lorkhan.

I decided that I will base most if not all of the buffs from the birthsigns of Morrowind, and as seen in the passive buffs, they will be quite familiar. Some birthsigns will absolutely not receive their complete stats such as the Lover birthsigns for very obvious gameplay reasons.

Players now receive

Portion of Lorkhan
  • Resist Magicka 20%
  • Resist Poison 25%
  • Sanctuary 10%
  • Fortify Maximum Magicka 1.5X
  • Fortify Attack 10%
  • Resist Normal Weapons 25%

Heartbeat of Lorkhan (fortify Attribute)
  • 5 Endurance
  • 10 Willpower
  • 5 Intelligence
  • 10 Agility
  • 10 Strength
  • 15 Luck
Tear of Lorkhan
  • Fortify Health 150

These are not just the only benefits a player receives, a player also receives a much smaller, but more convenient spells. For example players now receive the Chameleon of Lorkhan which Chameleons a player (with 100% success) at 40% for 30 seconds. While this power is extremely powerful, more ambitious players can probably make a more powerful spel or enchantmentl. Some spells that were replaced and renamed by the original mod to be less overpowered, but still very useful, such as the renamed "God Calm" now calms people (at 100%) with a very large cost of magicka.

This mod is much more oriented for roleplay, for players who probably didn't get corprus but want some similar powers, or are roleplaying as a power-hungry Neravarine that seeks the ultimate power. This mod gives the player the opportunity to become very powerful, but still be able to level and play without being utterly overpowered.
