About this mod
Allows for levelled creature lists that swap out between the day and night.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Allows for default levelled creatures to be replaced at night with a new "night list" during the night.
- The "day list" is only active during the day and the "night list" is only active during the night
- An empty night list can be used to disable the "day list" during the night.
- Increased immersion - Different creatures may be more appropriate for different times of day, and using a mod to switch between "day lists" and "night lists" of creatures can help create a more immersive experience.
- Improved difficulty - If the "night list" includes more dangerous creatures, it can make the game more challenging and exciting during the night.
- Customization - Players can customize the lists to include their preferred creatures, or use an empty "night list" to disable the "day list" entirely.
- Compatibility with other mods - This mod could potentially be used in conjunction with other mods that add new creatures or modify existing ones, allowing players to choose which creatures they encounter at different times of day.
To use this mod, the levelled creature list that you want to give a new "night list" to should be named with either the prefix "n_" or the suffix "_n", with the rest of the name being the corresponding "day list" that they wish to substitute. For example, if the "day list" is called "creatures_day", you could create a "night list" called "n_creatures_day" or "creatures_day_n".
The "night list" can exist on its own in a cell, but it will be disabled during the day. If the "night list" is populated with creatures, they will only appear during the night and no corresponding "day list" will be used.
To disable a "day list" entirely, you can create an empty "night list" with the appropriate name (e.g. "n_creatures_day" or "creatures_day_n"). This will prevent any creatures from spawning that are associated with that "day list" during the night.
