II. Description
Overhaul of both the exterior and interior of the Shrine of Azura. As always, the question is: is this necessary? Was there actually anything to fix or improve?
In our humble opinion, yes. Here’s a list of the underwhelming aspects of this location:
- The exterior is somewhat confusing, as there are no beaches, docks, or clear paths leading to the entrance. We made some improvements by altering the exterior, adding a small beach, and placing a boat there to indicate that other pilgrims are visiting the shrine.
- The interior has nothing particularly interesting about it. The shrine is essentially empty and has a nonsensical layout, featuring a straight corridor leading to the center and two lateral corridors leading to the same room. We made significant changes to the interior, drawing inspiration from Skywind's concept for the shrine. The interior is now smaller, allowing for a denser and more engaging atmosphere. There is a central pool facing the statue of Azura, surrounded by decorative elements, and a few pilgrims are now actively visiting the site.
For those wondering about the meaning of the central pool, keep in mind the concept of ablution is widespread among many different religions.
III. Installation
The mod folders come as follows:
00 - Core files
Contains all the required files.
01 - Water_fix_patch
In case you have mods that change the water level in the interiors you can use this patch to fix it.
(Put it all the way down in your load order).
02 - SVNR patch
For those who use SVNR daedric overhaul.
IV. Compatibility
With everything except other overhauls that change Azura's chamber.
Please notice that this mod requires particles collision to work as intended.
Mgexe users likely don't need to do any additional step since the option is checked by default in the Code Patch installer.
For OpenMW users, the option is only available for the in-dev builds, and can be activated in the launcher menu.
V. Installation and Removal
Manager: Mod Organizer 2 or Wrye Mash is highly recommended for easy installation, activation, and removal.
Manual: Extract contents of "00 - Core Files" folder to your Morrowind Data, extract the patches only if needed/desired.
VI. Credits
Clockwerkz: drawing
Skywind team: concept for the interior
