About this mod

An exterior overhaul of Tel Branora and the surrounding island to be more thematic to Mistress Therana.

Summary

I wanted Tel Branora to be a better reflection of Mistress Therana, taking elements of her personality and making her domain outwardly represent them.

The tower is barely tethered, built on infirm ground and threatening to fall if not for the diligent work of the staff keeping it moored and safe with great guide ropes. Therana has a fascination with spiders from her youth, and now it looks to outsiders like her tower is spun with webs.

The spires around the tower might to some paranoid types look like the fingers of some great enemy reaching up from the ground itself, a reminder that rivals are always just a single mistake away.

The island landscape is hostile, walled in by jagged cliffs with few safe paths in and out. You may only approach from the sea or the village, without magical means you may not safely approach by any other means.

Modjam Themes

Verticality- The tower has been made about a quarter taller with a mushroom cap, and the landscape around is mountainous and imposing.

Go for Broke- I could have done three or four tethers. I probably should have done only a few. Instead I kept adding until I was happy it looked like too many. I also decided against my best wisdom to extend out to the whole island instead of just the settlement.

In the Shadows- if you have MGEXE or OpenMW the tower is now much more cast in shadow from the arched spires.

Requirements

OAAB Data

Compatibility

BCOM - currently compatible, Tel Branora is barely touched by BCOM other than some small clutter I was careful to avoid.
RR - Tel Branora Lighthouse - compatible, I deliberately worked around its footprint.
Tel Branora - Domain of the Mad Mistress - There is a replacer patch by Rennoworks under optionals, load after Mad Mistress.

Credits

Creepy Ashlands Asset Pack by Rytelier for the spiky arch rock.
OAAB Data  the mushroom cap is one of theirs tripled in size.
