Golden saints always look stylish, as they use a long sword and a shield made of the same material (glass, ebony or daedric).

In the original game, the Golden Saints use weapons made of various materials - daedric, ebony and glass. The latter even sometimes have enchantments (long swords with elemental damage and a paralyzing dagger). They also always get a shield, which can be made from almost any material in the game. This is not particularly critical, since the creatures in the game do not have armor and die faster than the shield runs out of durability. However, the shield is not always used, since the list of random weapons includes staves, spears, halberds and
claymores. A shield with a high defense skill gives a significant advantage in close combat.
A level 20 Golden Saint with a glass staff looks and fights poorly, but the enchanted glass dagger and iron shield set isn't much better. There is a chance to get a daedric katana and a tower shield, but it is not high. However, the cost of an average set of equipment is quite high, which is one of the important factors that breaks the game’s economy.
Golden Saints (including summoned ones) now always use a longsword and shield of the same material (daedric, ebony or glass). The material of the weapon is chosen randomly with the same probability. There are no enchanted options, but this is fully compensated by
the lack of a chance of obtaining a spear or staff.
Upon death, the weapon is now also recalled to Oblivion, it cannot be taken away even if the MCP is not installed. A small
script is used to change weapons, it consumes few resources and does not cause problems.
Since the approach to game-breaking loot is different for all players, I made three versions of the mod:
1) You will receive Daedra's Heart and random soul gems (4-6 Common or 2-4 Greater or 1 Grand). No more cheat drops and broken economy (PR Golden Saint Equipment.esp).
2) Loot is fully consistent with the vanilla game. You will receive Daedra's Heart and items from "random_Golden_saint_weapon" and "random_Golden_saint_shield" lists (PR Golden Saint Equipment Vanilla.esp).
3) You will receive Daedra's Heart and In addition to the random soul gems (50% chance now) you will receive some rare arrows or throwing weapons with a very small chance. This is still an extremely small amount, but it will take expensive throwing weapons out of the category of artifacts and make it possible to use them at least sometimes (PR Golden Saint Equipment Expanded.esp).
Please note that Golden Saints are the only source of obtaining the Daedric Tower Shield in the game. They are now worn by the unique Golden Saint Staada (Azura's quest) and the Dremora Lord Khash-Ti Dhrur (Tribunal main quest).
Also, if you plan to use the third option, I strongly advise using the modification "Thrown (Throwing) Weapons Rebalance" in the recommended mods, since the cost of glass throwing weapons is incredibly low despite their rarity, and also many of the parameters of such weapons are incorrect and are not corrected by patches.
