Spok's Castle Hestatur - Expanded
I have always loved Castle Hestatur by spok. However, this mod from the late 2000s is a little dated today.
This mod aims to add a quest to acquire the castle, meant for higher level players. It's also a general packaging of the mod, with paintings included.

OAAB_Data and TR_Data is required, as well as OpenMW 0.49. MWSE is planned to be supported in the future, but I ran out of time for this.

Features, in addition to the original Castle Hestatur:
  • Expanded sorting containers.
  • Functional Prison, with guards who may follow you, and arrest those you dislike.
  • Quest to conquer the castle
  • New treasure vault, with strict entry requirements.
  • Staffed castle, with either Imperial Legion inhabitants.

Castle Hestatur is north of Dagon Fel. If you ask around, you may hear about it. To start the quest, visit the castle. You'll find Daedra outside. After you defeat them, you can head into the castle. You may meet a friendly face. You'll need help to defeat the hordes of Daedra infesting the castle, and to kill the Dremora King.

After you've done this, you can claim the castle for yourself and recruit the Imperial Legion to inhabit it with you, including a ship from Dagon Fel, an Imperial Cultist, and a host of Guards, who can be used to arrest dissidents.

(To arrest someone, make sure you have a Hestatur guard following you, and pick the "arrest" topic with an NPC)

I have further plans for this mod, but time is limiting me. Let me know what expansions you'd like to see.

Other mods I recommend you use with this mod:
  • Distant Seafloor: Otherwise looking out the back of the castle, you'll see the world fall off.
  • Imperial Texture mods: Will make the castle look a lot more modern.
