About this mod
A MWSE mod to advance Sneak skill by a MCM-controlled progress percentage when successfully snatching (activating) objects when sneaking undetected

New in 2.0.0 - now works on all activate targets, not only containers. If you can snatch that Dwemer cup off a table, you're good!
I. Background
I rarely play purely Sneak-oriented characters, but when I do, I'm always put off but the cheese involved. Who hasn't moved frantically when not seen just to level the skill? Well, I thought if you are able to snatch something when sneaking, that would surely count as a successful Sneak action. Now it does.
II. What the mod does
The mod does a fairly simple thing - when you are undetected, sneaking, and you try to activate an in-game object (take that limeware platter, open a crate, squeeze through doors etc.), it advances your Sneak skill by progress percentage configurable in the MCM.
The mod takes under consideration when an NPC last tried to detect you - so if you tcl outside walls and try to pick stuff, or just sneak and snatch when no-one is around, you will not get a skill increase. You have to be actively sneaking around NPCs.
You only gain experience once per object. The cell change resets the flag. This is to ward off cheesing (I know I would just keep opening that one sack like crazy) and to give a little immersive edge.
III. Balance
It can be argued this is a little cheaty, but I think it makes it more meaningful to do stuff when sneaking, rather than just move around to level up the skill. The default skill experience gain value is 2, which I think is fair. Adjust in the MCM if needed.
IV. Compatibility && recommendations
Fully compatible with the recommended stealth mods:
- Stealth Improved
- Sneaky Strike
- Distraction
- Animated Pickup (really recommend this one!)
