In the center of the Abecean sea, often called the Crosswaters, lies the island of the great abyss. A large crater in which no one can see the bottom. A settlement was built on the ridges of the island as a joint operation between Cryodiil, and the Summerset Isles. Craterhold would be its name.

Every year, the island would attract sailors and other such adventurers to come see the great Abyss, some of which would venture it's depths. Hoping to uncover its secrets and riches. But few would ever return. For the Abyss, is cursed....

Into the Abyss is a large scale quest and landmass mod inspired by the Anime "Made in Abyss".

Features:

  • A new island that's within the overworld.
  • A new settlement using the Gold Coast Architecture.
  • several side quests and a small three quest questline for the mages guild.
  • A massive dungeon complex with seven different layers, each with it's own cave type and biomes

To Begin, Head to the Ald Ruhn Mages guild and speak with Edwinna. Note that you must be level 10.
Being a mages guild member is not required to play the mod, however it is recommended that you join before starting as the guild questline requires you to be a member, with the last quest requiring the rank of Evoker. So it is recommended that you reach that rank in the guild if you want to play all the content.

A few of the new textures come with Normal Maps for OpenMW users.

Compatibility:

Every mod should be compatible as the mod only makes one edit to the vannila game, which is put a guild guide marker in the Ald Ruhn mages guild. But most mods don't move that place anyway.

Works on both MWSE and OpenMW.
