About this video

A visceral blood and gore filled overhaul for Morrowind's dated combat mechanics, today's Mods of the Day include both Combat Enhanced - MWSE Edition and Bleeding Injuries - MWSE, both by Spammer. Out of these two mods, one is a gameplay overhaul for combat, and the other is a visual graphics overhaul, adding oodles of blood to melee combat.

In particular, Combat Enhanced - MWSE Edition is a modernization on Aerelorn's original Combat Enhanced mod, which added combos to Morrowind's combat, allowing you to perform special moves with unique combos for each of Morrowind's primary melee weapons. With this mod you can use a spear to sweep out your opponent's legs, knocking them down, or use a dagger to slit their throat and prevent them from spellcasting, or slice off their hand, or behead them, or impale them with a spear, or so on and so forth! You can unlock these combos over time as you level up your skills, and this will give you new ways to engage in battle!

Bleeding Injuries, on the other hand, adds blood decals to NPCs, creatures, and weapons during combat, adding a visual element to the wounds on both yourself and your enemies. These bleeding injuries won't appear everywhere, armor will provide some protection, and you can remove the sight of blood by taking a health potion or seeing a healer.

Both of these mods are fantastic additions to the game and help make combat a much more satisfying and exciting experience, and as a bonus, they're also compatible with PvP Combat Overhaul and Ultra AI, working perfectly when combined with those two mods. If you want to have a more thrilling combat experience in Morrowind, these are two mods that are absolutely worth your time!
