This mod is mainly a response to the block spam of combat agent AI in version 1.2 (especially in 1 vs 1 melee tournaments). Although I personally like the improved combat AI and having longer duels and battles, the amount of xp given for the amount of time spent doesn't seem worth it. This mod attempts to bring combat xp rates closer to previous patches without changing how the combat AI works by increasing the amount of xp given for blocked attacks. Blocked attacks will give the same amount of xp as hitting a 20 on an opponent, although this value can be adjusted with the included settings file if the xp rates feels too high or low. (Note that setting the value to a really high value does not work as the game caps the max xp earned to the full health of the defeated opponent)
Mod is lightweight and only requires harmony. It shouldn't conflict any other mods except maybe ones that extensively overhaul combat mechanics (I'm not sure if any exist). Mod can be safely added and removed at any point in a campaign.
