This mod enhances the original mobile party visibility system and improves and visualizes a new party attribute: Concealment, which determines the difficulty of a party being discovered. This mechanism is practically applied to AI enemy searches, and the Seeing Range buff provided by Scoutting skill is actually applied to AI parties, rather than the fixed range in the original game.
Based on this, Stealth and Ambush functionalities are added. Player can toggle their party to start or stop stealth mode, which automatically stops when interacting with settlements or other parties. While in stealth mode, party speed decreases, Seeing Range increases, and Concealment increases. If a party is stationed on the Campaign Map while in stealth mode, it enters a sub-state called Ambush, where Seeing Range and Concealment are further increased, making it very difficult for enemies to detect them. Moving while in ambush mode will automatically exit this state. During ambush or shortly after exiting ambush mode, attacking enemy parties will result in a successful ambush. After a successful ambush, the attacking party's morale significantly increases, while the ambushed party's morale greatly decreases.
This system will enhance the strategic gameplay of mobile parties on the Campaign Map. Player can use stealth and ambush to avoid the threats from surrounding enemies or ambush cunning, elusive enemies, such as those raiding your villages😏. Player can also set ambushes on critical routes to rob bandits or ambush enemy armies...
For AI stealth and ambush, there are no plans to implement it at this time, as it would involve the core decision-making mechanics of mobile party AI, such as pursuit and evasion, which are fundamental to the Campaign Map gameplay. It may be easier to implement for bandit parties. Moreover, implementing this might greatly reduce the mod's stability and compatibility, and might not result in a good player experience.
The default key for switching Stealth mode is F4.
Known issue: 1. Ambush option displayed as' Attack 'when used with mod Fast Dialogue (UPDATED).
