About this mod

The "For England: Death to the Vikings" mod transforms Bannerlord into Viking-inspired England, altering location names, cultures, and troop trees to reflect Norse, Anglo-Saxon, and Celtic influences. With new factions and NPCs from "The Last Kingdom" and "Vikings," it offers a unique, immersive medieval experience of war and politics.

!!!IMPORTANT!!!
This is not the final version of the Mod, so if you notice something that is not working correctly, please keep that in mind.
This mod is merely inspired by the period of the invasion of England by the Great Heathen Army. Do not expect historical accuracy. I am not a modder, so there are things I do not know how to change. If you are a modder and would like to help me improve this mod, please contact me so I can modify it. Do not modify or publish it elsewhere without my permission.
The map is still Calradia; only the settlements have been replaced to resemble locations in Viking Age England.
The character Uhtred is not created as an NPC in the mod, so you can create him and play as him. If you wish, there is an optional downloadable file with Uhtred's face ID and banner ID.

This mod was heavily inspired by characters, locations and information from:
- The Last Kingdom (TV series)
- Vikings TV (TV series)
- Viking Conquest (Warband DLC)
- Crusader Kings III (game)

Currently, the mod consists of:
- New names for settlements across the map, with changes to the culture and environment of villages, castles and towns.
- Cultural changes:
* Sturgian – Danish
* Vlandia – Anglo-Saxon
* Battanian – Celtic
* Empire, Khuzait and Aserai cultures remain unchanged.
- The armor of bandit troops has been changed to make them stronger.
- 8 (playable) factions compete for control of the map:
* Kingdom of Wessex
* Kingdom of Mierce
* Cornwall
* Kingdoms of Ireland
* Kingdom of Alba
* Danelaw
* Kingdoms of Denmark and Norway
* Kingdom of Gwynedd and Glywyssing
- New troop trees for each of the three altered cultures. The legendary Berserkr and Ulfhednar have been added as elite troops for the Danes.
- NPC lords are mainly inspired by The Last Kingdom, Vikings and Viking Conquest.
- Minor clans have been modified.
- Relations have been modified to start the game at war. It is recommended to use the Diplomacy mod for a better political experience.

NOTE: I created this mod for my personal use and decided to share it here. Therefore, occasionally you will find elements that do not correspond to this universe. This mod is still in the testing phase. When fighting in the Kingdoms of Denmark and Norway against bandit troops, the scenery can still look like a vanilla desert (I don't know how to fix this).
