About this mod

This is a file to overhaul your troops to be based on Vikings historically accurate with Europe 1100 and Erik's Troop mod.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
If you love the Viking series like me and love doing rp in Bannerlord, you should definitely give this troop tree a try. Soldiers skills and equipments have been adjusted to a historical and balanced level to be compatible with Erik's troops for Europe 1100 mod.

**(And yeah Ulfhednar and Berserker's almost never use any armor in real life so thats why they look like naked but they have really good stats compared to other european units in the Europe 1100. If you want shield wall and high armor units u already have them = Huscarl, so use Berserker's like basically a shock troop. Look History section for more info xd)**

To start with the mod:
1. Go to a town and go to the tavern.
2. In the tavern click on Import XML-flies.
3. Your troop trees should've changed now!
4. Then exit the game and disable the mod(my mod not original MLW) after that enjoy the troop tree.**(IMPORTANT)**

**Also a little note: I didn't edit the elite troop tree before tier 4 troop on purpose because they are not gonna spawn anyway in town or village so no need to worry about them.

📜History📜

Berserkers: Elite Viking Warriors

Berserkers were among the most feared Viking warriors, known for their frenzied battle rage and unmatched ferocity. They were often described as warriors who fought without fear, pain, or concern for their own safety, believing they were blessed by Odin. Their fighting style and appearance made them legendary figures in Norse history.

1. Berserker Clothing & Armor:

Bare-Chested or Light Armor
  • Many accounts describe Berserkers as fighting without armor or even shirtless, believing they were invulnerable to weapons thanks to Odin’s protection.
  • Some may have worn padded gambesons or light leather armor, but they generally avoided heavy chainmail or plate armor.
Animal Pelts (Bear Skins)
  • The word “Berserker” comes from “ber” (bear) and “serkr” (shirt), meaning “bear-shirt.”
  • This suggests they wore bear pelts to channel the strength and ferocity of the beast.
  • Some wore wolf pelts instead, similar to Ulfhednar warriors.
War Paint & Tattoos
  • Many Viking warriors used black, blue, or red war paint to appear more terrifying in battle.
  • Some Berserkers might have tattoos covering their bodies as a form of spiritual or psychological warfare.
No Helmets (Most of the Time)
  • Unlike Huscarls or standard Viking warriors, Berserkers rarely wore helmets, preferring agility over protection.
  • Some may have used leather or simple metal headgear, but intimidation was their primary defense.

2. Berserker Weapons
🪓 Two-Handed Battle Axes
  • The Dane Axe (Danish Axe) was their most famous weapon—a large, two-handed battle axe capable of splitting shields and armor.
  • They swung these axes with incredible force, aiming to break enemy formations.

🛡 Round Shields (Rarely Used)
  • Some Berserkers may have carried Viking round shields, but they preferred attacking over defending.
  • Many fought with both hands on their weapon, making shield use less common.

Conclusion: The Ultimate Viking Shock Troops

📌 Berserkers were not just warriors; they were a force of nature.
📌 They fought with no fear, charging into battle in a trance-like rage.
📌 Armed with massive axes and pure aggression, they shattered enemy lines.
📌 While incredibly powerful, they were unpredictable and hard to control.
🔥 They were the most feared warriors of the Viking Age, embodying pure chaos and destruction.
