About this image

NCR had issues with the legion after Hoover Dam.
They asked an reinforcement from the 101st Airborne HQ in Tennessee.
They sent some reserves soldiers to assist NCR.
The Airborne troopers, like the 1st Recon, are elite soldiers. The Difference is that 1st Recon are sniper squad, and the NCR Airborne troopers are assault team, that high physical trained, with CQB specialization, and well geared with affective low weight armor, and Carbine weapons.
Airborne Troopers trained to Melee and Unarmed Combat, and they using Combat knifes, Assault Carbines. Marksmen use Marksmanship Carbines.
This elite team made to eliminate any threat in Mojave Wasteland, and cutting edge (with the NCR rangers and the 1st Recon) in the next battle over Hoover Dam.

    I dont know why the OP thinks that US Army Airborne are trained in Tennessee. Airborne are trained at Fort Benning which is in Georgia and many are stationed at Ft.Polk which is in Kentucky but nothing is in Tennessee.

    Jimi Hendrix went to Fort Benning just like every other US Army paratrooper since WWII.The Fallout story line though alternate generally reflects the basic set up of the US military during the 50s in which case it would make sense for any airborne to come from Georgia or Kentucky not Tennessee.

    Though it does not make sense to train very many people in a post nuclear wasteland how to jump from aircraft seeing as there are very few available.It would make more sense to use another old world elite force such as the Army Rangers or Green Berets or Delta Force they all function without the use of aircraft as their primary means of deployment.

    What the OP describes in his unit is much more the role that Army Rangers fill and the Rangers are named after a pre American Revolutionary War unit of the British Army that fought against the French and Indians in America they where called Rogers Rangers and they did operate in New England.Make them a unit that follows the ways of the Army Rangers and Rogers Rangers and they come from Tennessee because that is where the roots of their warrior ethos originated in the wild.

      Creativity buzz kill much? Modding can be about creativity and if someone wants to add black outfitted Airborne NCR troops, why the hell not?

    @leeknivek

    There's multiple airborne and paratrooper training bases in Tennesse. Fun fact: Jimi Hendrix went to one (I forget which one) to be a paratrooper, but broke his ankle after is 26th jump from a plane (still training in the states).

    I don't believe the NCR has any relations with anyone past The Rockies.
