Well, this is making me excited again for NV Say, do you think it'll be a major problem to make it compatible with Electro City? So far I think that's the only major mod a lot us have and could interfere here.
I've made patches for many mods already (around a dozen), I will have to update them for these worldspaces and some I won't support. I will however be including a guide and a script for people to make their own patches fairly easy, and I plan to have a video showing the relatively simple process of doing so.
Since I use and support TTW pretty much exclusively I only patch mods that are for or are 100% compatible with it. In this case it's Streetlights (which includes simple streetlights) and additional work I've done to that mod which makes it superior to Electro City in every way.
I was going to start a thread about such mods needing patches, but I fear I'll end up in "patch hell" which I don't want as I have other things I'd rather be doing. So that's why the guide and video plans.
That's understandable. A big thanks then for making the guide I feel plenty of people wouldn't even bother with that.
How is the progress with TTW? The last time I remember (I think it was v2.6.3) a friend of mine reported unbalanced economy, frantic deathclaw spawning, and some issues with ammo variety.
2.9.4b is fairly stable with the hotfixes. Never heard of deathclaw spawning issues, must be mod related. What Fallout game has a balanced economy? Need mods for that. Ammo is still an issue (not enough) and will be hopefully fixed in the next version.
Heh, not a single Fallout game had a balanced one, but the main complaint was that you could gather a ridiculous amount of caps and have no place to spend it...it was way worse than in vanilla Fo3.
Anyway, good to hear about its stability. Too bad we can't use diff. texture and weather mods for each world. If that was possible, I'd most likely flock to TTW immediately.
You can use different textures if you want, just swap them when swapping wastelands. I made scripts to combine NMC's packs though. Most of the textures are identical with only some terrain/road textures being different really and in that case washed out wasteland ones look fine for both. The rocks and all that are already unique between wastelands.
Making all the textures unique would be a silly amount of work without some way to automate it, so that would never happen I'm afraid.
As for weather mods, RWLE is still in development and it has unique weathers for each wasteland. It will be better when I get back to it, I'm waiting on better rain/snow/fog/ash/dust/heat meshes.
More than 75% of the time Nexus doesn't notify me when someone replies. Good thing I had a hunch you'd stop by again
Yeah, that would work I guess, although it would be a bit tedious. This weather option should also work very well: http://www.moddb.com/mods/urwlnv-ultimate-edition-v20/downloads/urwl-for-ttw-10-urwlnv-conversion I actually encouraged this author to make a TTW conversion and helped him a little with the work, hence he was generous enough to credit me as a co-author.
I'm more keen on using Nevada Skies + Enhanced Shaders for NV and his URLWFO3 + LW's Samsara ENB combo for Fo3, but I do admit RWLE pics looks pretty nice and atmospheric. And with separate weathers offered it looks like I'll have to seriously consider about trying TTW again.
Just wanted to ask, since I'm afraid a bit - you said you have a beastly PC, and do not experience issues. If I have ~50 fps in my game (I have a laptop, not the worst, but yeah, it is still a laptop), what can I expect to see, can you guess?

I wish you all the best with the new mod.

You're doing a great job

I also plan to generate new LOD for the whole wasteland with additional LOD models and better terrain meshes so that will also be taxing.
If you use the multicore tweak and don't use replacement textures I suppose 30 FPS or so.
Seems like it's welcome to the console country for me
