This is a very ambitious project. I'm wondering how long this would take.

After The Frontier is finished do you think you'll ever revisit your WIC mod using the new assets you've made over the years?

      Depends really.
Crank your game's settings down to bare minimum, and you can at least enjoy the fantastic MQ and side quests etc.
The average (non-gaming, non-tweaked) computer gets 30fps+ even in the troublesome spots, so in the end it may all depend on exactly how potato your potato is.
You a sprout, spud, dud, or mashed?

My spud (not even a potato) gets 20 fps with performance enhancing mods. Sadly I lost my rig in hurricane Harvey and have yet to replace it. Here's hoping I can get somthing going by the tine you guys come out.

Ive had a dud for aboot 3 yrs here's my simple advice:
      Clean Deluxe NV
      NVAC New Vegas Anti Crash
      YUP Yuk's Unofficial Patch
      NV Shutter Remover
and other things like no blur when hit and no player voice, Just remove things from your character
(also no more than 147 ESP.s)

I'm so glad you're making this in the NV engine and not that shitty F4 engine where everything look like clay

well F4's engine has its ups and downs.
I could do infinitely more with VFX in that engine. That engine is also far more optimized.
However no argument from me on the clay look. That whole plastic-wrapped look is very irksome and detracts from gameplay for me.

Now if only they'd make a Fallout3 Enhanced like they did with Skyrim

Well, without ENB the old engine looks even more like everything is made of clay, devoid of all kind of modern shading, without ENB, Bethesda's Gamebryo always looks like crap, no matter what iteration you use.
