About this image

There are two boarded-up shacks near Horowitz Farmstead. Does anybody know of any mods that use them? I'd strongly prefer to not end up conflicting with some extremely popular mod if I were to, hypothetically, want to use one (or both) of these shacks in my own projects.

    You might want to check New Vegas Bounties 1-3, & the other mods by Someguy2000. He's added interiors to quite a few places, whether it be post-war shacks or pre-war apartments.

      I have his mods and the NV interiors mod on through pretty much all my playthroughs, so if absolutely nothing else, I'm not likely to conflict with either of those two.

    Looking forward to what I can break by going through the quest chains in the most brain-dead and random ways possible. :X

      I'll at least try and script the quests to fail if plot-important NPCs die.

      Still very early in development, but it's following up on some loose ends from the North Road and Eliza, and it's going to be quite a bit darker than my previous mods.

      Loose ends from North Road and Eliza? Now I may be calling the shot too early, but I'm gonna presume its to do with Caleb Alquist and Roy Sullivan

      I wouldn't really consider Roy to be a loose end. Two of his three endings are pretty definitive, and the third one just has him continue on with the status quo.

      Fair enough. I guess that would put Caleb Alquist, possibly Sheridan and other characters who were only mentioned through notes (Ava, for instance)

      But as I said before, I'm probably calling my shots too early, so I'll wait and see how the quest mod will go once it releases

      And at least one character introduced in a note from Headhunting that probably didn't register with anyone.

      I assume its either Isaiah Darby from that note left by a Powder Ganger who killed himself in the shithouse motel or Fairbanks (The latter is least likely since we know f*#@ all about Fairbanks).

      Either way, I'm looking forward to see how the loose ends from your previous quest mods are gonna tie up in the next one

    Monster Wars has a companion in a building around there, but I'm not 100% sure whether it's those exact buildings or not.

      Hard to say. At the very least, it seems like the big shack is definitely up for grabs. ...And now that I've said that, there'll be a mod tomorrow that uses it.

      There's absolutely nothing there. It isn't very memorable.

    New Vegas Landscape Overhaul turns them into a big Cazador hive, but the doors are still untouched so it technically wouldn't conflict.

      I can work with that. Makes getting in even more torturous to the player, and that's always something I strive for in my mods.

    As far as I know, there are no mods that even touch those buildings. So I'd think it's safe to do something with them.
