This image is actually a joke. I used the "zap" command to make the game crash as a reference to people who can't get the game to run. Select yourself in the console and type "zap" to delete the player reference and that causes the game to freak out. I zapped other things to see how badly I could break the game. I can usually run FNV, rock solid stable for hours on end. But I know some people can't, and thus this is what they see.
As for NVSR, no I don't use it. Though for fun I did try playing around with different NVSR presets once to see if it would net any better performance than Tick Fix. But it usually resulted in crashes, or a slight microstutter. Only setup that seemed to work decently was the default ini settings. And I didn't crash for the brief time I tested it, funnily enough. But Tick Fix still performed better overall.
The only ini edits I've made is the one that purges the buffers on cell transitions and the one that stops textures mismatches on NPCs, other than that it's all default and working fine, I get some performance issues but that's down to all the crap I've got loaded into the game, the poor old thing is creaking under the weight of it all. A lot of the tweaks people suggest don't seem to do anything or cause problems.
The ini tweaks I use the are ones recommended by TTW, After that, more or less all the stability issues I had went away. And there are other mods that help too like NVAC, NVTF, 4GB patcher, BSA Decompressor. But yeah a lot of people will make suggestions for ini tweaks and not know what they're doing.
