But nice to see people use the outfit
Since you have done it in Fallout 4, make sure you are using Blender v2.49 for FNV and FO3.
You should get a copy of the Blender manual and have it open when you are working for quick reference.
To bone weight copy, after you have imported the .nif into blender, press Ctrl + left arrow key. This will take you to a different work area with the parts of the .nif displayed on the left.
Choose the skeleton you want to copy from by LMC on the body. Press and hold "shift" and highlight each part of the piece you are bone weighting. Do not do any part with "meat" in the name. At the bottom of the display, LMC "Object". In the pop-up menu, LMC "Scripts" then "Bone weight copy" a pop-up window will appear. In "Quality" choose any number greater than one. For small items, I use three, otherwise I use two. LMC on "Update Selected" then "OK". Wait for the program to complete.
this will also help jog my memory.
I do know how to bone weight copy - I do it quite often in both 2.79 and 2.49 (the latter mostly for DA2), but I appreciate going the extra step to explain that to me :)
That is a real handy tip, tho :'D I appreciate it a lot
This is the tutorial i always used. I think you should check the ADD A MATERIAL section of it. then there's also the weight copy, and add skeleton steps. then it also explains nifskope steps. Imo it's the best tutorial. it may not be perfect and a bit long but it goes into detail on all the steps.
yeah on one hand it LOOKS outdated but like, it's still one of the better tutorials out there imho
