About this image

"I wouldn't sweat it; the Highwayman's got a full analog system and no computers. None of the fancy stuff."

Some wider rubber, better shine and adding details to textures.

Well... In the beginning I had a bright red good model that is really close to -57 Plymouth open in Blender. Thanks again to EdgeUK90 to let me start from his beautiful model:

I considered for a while to do a Christine killer car mod. Red Chryslus that hunts the player and can't be killed with regular weapons permanently. It would actually have been simpler project than making the Highwayman.

Now car has much bigger wings and side trims removed. Have also removed about 3/4 of polygons to let gamebryo some chance of handling it. New textures are made from scratch and are all the time improving but still not good enough.

BTW If someone has not yet seen the movie they really should:

Always loved that scene (awesome to see clever practical effects!). When I saw Edge's mod originally I immediately thought how cool of a callout it would be to have the Christine reference flash the head lights at night (don't think it does, but I haven't reinstalled the game yet to try the mod out to check).

While I do like the idea of a Christine mod, I agree the Fallout 2 reference is better (since Obsidian made the reference but with the wrong model so there's room for improvement). Will the car spawn over at the abandoned Highwayman or are you thinking of somewhere else?

Below are some ideas (obviously just as inspiration):

      - Maybe you could replace the Corvega static model at the abandoned Highwayman location with a static Highwayman and add a prompt that could appear when activated. The prompt could give the option where if the player has a shovel, they could "dig" the car out. If selected, the static model could despawn and the Highwayman could spawn.

      - Another possibility would be to use Miss Belvedere as a basis for some lore where it could appear at the town hall of somewhere along with a note or two referring to a time capsule where someone could win "a new Highwayman".

(As an aside, what is up with 57-58 Plymouth 2-doors getting famous as rustbuckets?)
