About this image

Loving this armor. As you can see, I'm working on assimilating it into the game as a replacer. I've swapped out the stealth suit boots with a basic combat boot, and experimented with some sleeveless variants.

You can't see it in these images, but I've also done some minor bone weight edits.

Let me know what you think.

Kudos and congrats to TPOl7uHKA for a great release!

Hope this isn't dead, because these look really nice and I want them in my game.

The sleeveless variants look like they could replace standard combat armor (smaller cauldrons = less protection) and the edited versions of TPOl7uHKA would obviously remain Reinforced Mk 1. I'd love a replacer for Reinforced Mk 2 as it looks the strangest and lacks a lot of good retexture mods but that probably won't happen, a man can dream though. Looks good!

You could try making the shoulder texture double sided? It's not a perfect fix but at least helps hide some issues
      https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/How_to_make_double-sided_meshes_where_textures_appear_on_both_sides_of_the_faces

I always hate rigging shoulder pauldrons as they never seem to sit quite right. Even some of the ones in the base game have issues.

    Ideas:

    1. Since good regular combat armor replacers already exist, this could replace the Reinforced Combat Armor and Reinforced Combat Armor Mk II instead. It would be less work since you'd only have to do 2, it would keep consistency with vanilla since those are based on the combat armor from the classics, and you'd be covering something that has so far been neglected (those armors look hideous and have no retexture yet).

    2. If you want to replace the regular combat armor instead, sticking to vanilla color schemes would be the most lore friendly way to do it.

    3. Alternatively, instead of the vanilla color scheme, you could try going for something that's more appropriate to the setting (for the regular armor, not the black one, obviously). Perhaps some tan and light tones, specially for the clothing. It always seemed to me combat armor is excessively dark to be worn comfortably in the dessert.

    4. The sleeveless versions look awesome. I now many people would prefer that. If not the main file, then maybe it could be introduced as an optional. But definitely should be there.

Everything you've done so far looks great! The boots specially are a nice touch.

Especially considering TPOl7uHKA already has his own take on standard combat armor.

looks good, I also wanted to make variant with darker/less saturated paint, but decided that at first, I stop with a variant that more eye-catching and closer to original fallout 2 color scheme..
Anyway I was also thinking about adding black variant later, since I have the source file with layers, but I think your variant also looks nice. Need to see how it looks with normalmap ingame.

And, of course nice boots, which i was lazy/too lowskill to do

One suggestion: you can leave shoulder shields with sleeveless variant..
Shoulder pad (which is under armor piece) doesn't look nice with the current bone weight... so you probably need to edit it if you leave like this.

I'm also curious to see what bone weight edits you did
