Question about these weapon images: are they works in progress or not? Not trying to be rude here, but it just seems like they don't need all that much work. For someone like me (who has no idea how to model, run a script, etc.) they look finished to me. If they are WIP, then just disregard this comment.
I don't know much about making new weapons, but I figure it can't be that easy. You gotta get custom sounds for the gun, make sure they aren't too loud or too quiet, you've got to figure out the stats and whether you want it to be a early game, mid game or end game weapon, you gotta add it to the weapon perk lists, Either add custom animations or add support for it, if it's not a nif-bash of a vanilla asset then you gotta find a model that's free to use or make one yourself, the list goes on and on. I don't know 100% how the weapon modding process goes, but it's probably something like that.
Why? The world of Fallout has laser weapons, plasma weapons, robots, aliens and sentient AI computers. It's not a big stretch to imagine this 'plahsma raaaiflll' to be developed in some pre-war lab by some crazy scientist.
