Fun fact: You can raise the default maximum draw distance level for lights, specular effects, and shadows very easily by raising the values of fLightLODMaxStartFade, fShadowLODMaxStartFade, and fSpecularLODMaxStartFade in your FalloutPrefs ini.
Kind of did wish there was a mod that had lights act as some kind of detection system that spots you or enemies, but I guess that is limitations of the game engine
