About this image

More texturing items (up to 67 ready to go) these are shown in nifskope but will look better (hopefully) in game. Note: the tinplate and plate will use whatever textures the user has for "iguanabits" and "plate02"

-Tamales
-Traveller's Hulatang
-Sandwich (Mutfruit Jelly)
-Creamed Brahmin on Toast
-Potato Bites
-Sandwich (Prickly Pear Jelly)
-Bialys

My textures aren't great i'm well aware and they're in 1k (for this game, I normally do 2k but that'll be a bit much with so many) but it's still something I am trying to make them as best I can, if the mod isn't for you or the textures/meshes just don't seem quality enough you don't have to try the mod but I hope it's clear how much love and time I am putting into this mod :)

A variety of meals and beverages are planned from longer shelf life travel foods, Chinese, Jewish, Mexican and Native American and ancient Roman recipes used by Caesar's Legion as I feel those cultures could still exist in postwar America even cook books with their recipes  (like the Shi, tribals, travelling caravans and NCR could pass on many of their recipes) I want to do right by these cultures that these foods belong to but at the same time in a post apocalypse setting some of the recipes could have been changed to work with available ingredients or mistakes made by those who now use them but if any of the things I make are extremely incorrect to the point they're offensive to the cultures they're adapted from let me know kindly and i'll do what I can to make it right, If there are foods you think should be in this mod let me know and I might be able to add them (if I feel they fit and can do them with my current level of skill that is) :)

I'm really interested to see how you do Legion provisions because I'm wondering how far they are willing to go on their level of Roman cosplay or just adopting regional food choices.

Yeah i'm thinking a mix of both since they also have tribal and the regions they control's recipes I imagine they'd have to a be a bit realistic and not go 100% in with their Roman cosplaying also since many of those recipes that survived might not be worth keeping with what ingredients are available even with changes made. Planning out what would make sense lore wise requires as much effort studying recipes and thinking about as creating the actual dishes so I hope I interpret the setting, lore and what would make sense correctly and if not I can always make updates to the mod later on to change things people feel are incorrect :)

You have answer in the LR. Ulysses explains how Legion destroys culture of any tribe and everything that is useful is assimilated (giving story of Bitter Drink as example). Frankly, there would be little original dishes added to the legion that originated from Roman Emp, due to Caesar being both only source and person not interested in this type of knowledge (he gained fame by conquest, not cooking). That being said, there is only so many ways to invent the wheel. So chances that classic roman dishes would be in use in their post-apo versions, is more than possible, its very likely.

An army on the move, especially in post-apocalyptia, would move on dried stuff like hard tack and jerky.  I see the Legion territories producing such stuff with slave labor back in Arizona and such.
The southern border of the old US would still have plenty of Mexican influence in the food, I would think, and the re-emerging Native American tribes looking to survive would be able to return to largely to native foods.
      can’t wait to see
      the finished product

That's great work - I hope you place all of these in their culturally-correct places!
Creamed brahmin on toast, hell yeah!  That needs to go in every NCR military facility...

I'd planned on mostly only editing the level lists and stores because I wasn't sure about what compatibilities it'd cause if I edited cells but i'd love to place some of these in places like The Ultra Luxe (for the fancier stuff) as well as the other rest stops, bars and places people are. If I do that I hope I don't mess up and place things in places that make no sense then again it's a post apocalyptic wasteland it might make more sense for it to not entirely make sense...if that makes sense lol

yeah, i dunno how that would even work - maybe the specific vendors' inventories would be a start, I suppose...

think of it this way, its a post post apocalyptic wasteland. society has rebuilt, think of the entirety of the NCR quests and lore in FNV or FO2. that's the theme of the entire series, at least until bethestards took over
