   Shweeeeet, Mute - that's a great concept (as always).   I always wondered what the big box on the bottom was, if the magazine was on the top...?   Simple overblown Fallout weapon-ness?
   
   (pleeeeze, pleeze - if you build it - put a trigger guard on that thing, it makes me itchy when they're missing)

      I assume its some kind of motor in that box? Maybe storage for snacks?
      
      Remove box. add trigger guard.

      Box is good, maybe it's a hydraulic recoil dampening system.  I just made that up.... but the box is iconic, I say it should stay.

      Given the angular front shape it could house a downwards recoil system like the one on the Kriss Vector, which would probably be needed for mitigating the recoil of a .50 AE (closest irl counterpart to 12.7mm) cartridge in full auto.
