This all originally started as a vanilla+ aesthetic upgrade to the AR-15 style rifles in the game

As much as I LOVE Millenia's WRP retextures, one thing that always bugged me was the mirrored text on the lower receiver. So using the WRP Marksman Carbine as a base I set off to recreate the Assault Carbine, and the Service Rifle using the Marksman's receiver. I realise there's already a whole bunch of AR-15 mods including really well-done ported models from more recent games. However, I always found that they didn't fit the aesthetics with the rest of the game. I know this is a game people put 1000s of mods on to increase the graphical fidelity but even still with that I find these high poly count guns still look out of place. Unless of course you use ALL of the performance-degrading mods

I've taken quite a lot of inspiration from various modders who do similar NIF-bashing (Raymanray, Bitchcussidy, Tammer, SpamPTRS & BJBlaskowitz concept pictures to name the most aligned with my modding ethos) and I also researched quite a bit on this project to try my best to include as many variants and parts as possible within the AR15 family from the Vietnam era of its introduction up until the early naughties, which is where I feel real-world firearms start to not be included in the franchise (The P90 existing in the Fallout universe is my justification)

When looking through the Nexus I noticed there's a distinct lack of the HK-416. There's only a small handful of mods that include it and they all to me have the same issue as mentioned above with not fitting in. So I took it upon myself to include the HK-416 in my work

It's my intention when this is all done to set up these weapons to work with NVWO Weapons Smith. Giving the player the ability to customise their AR-15 to their heart's content, and even make a Frankengun if they so wish (assuming that the parts are technically compatible) 

Due to my job and my ADHD workflow I cannot say any release dates. I'd have to acquire permissions for some of the parts I'd used as there's some parts that I don't feel I could have done a better job with than the people who have created other mods. Like Raymanray's cut-down M16 carry handle iron sight)

And due to my lack of XML abilities, I may just end up releasing as modder's resources as if I'm unable to create the mod as I envision it I'm not even going to try

I'd love to collaborate with other modders who know a bit more about the under-the-hood setting things up part of mod making, especially anyone who knows how to set things up as I'd like to using the NVWO Weapons Smith mod

But for now, enjoy the concept shots and remember this isn't supposed to be a 1:1 with the real-life firearm, there's some artistic liberties taken to keep my work grounded into the Fallout universe

      I've got a whole load more pictures to upload too
      M4A1, MW2 and MW3 M4A1S, M16A1 through A4, M16K, MK12, MK18, MGS Patriot, MGS4 M4 custom, as well as various attachments, accessories and decals all made to a similar quality to these. Still got a few more parts I want to make but I'd say I'm nearly done with the asset creation part

      Made a bunch of retextures too, including camos. So far I've got choc chip, coyote tan, urban, woodland, WRPs All American spray paint camo

      Just I need a hand with putting it all together with NVWO as XMLs are not my forte

      I've been working on this particular mod for the past couple years, just my workflow is so up and down, life, work and relationships have all gotten in the way of me modding lol

      Funnily enough I've met Millennia irl as we live in the same county, the only problem with that is that I didn't realise it at the time because I was at work and I served them. If only it clicked

      Love your work man, gotta say I was a little disheartened when I saw your release BC it's similar to what I've been working on. But I figure the more variety the merrier

      I sifted through pretty much every AR-15 mod on the Nexus and gotta say yours is one of my favourites in terms of the aesthetics matching the base game

      I've gotta say, I have used a few of your parts from your guns is life mod in my mod because honestly what you've done I don't feel I could've done a better job with. I struggled for some reason to make a decent looking ambi charging handle as well as the above mentioned M16 cut down carry handle rear iron sight

      If I do get able to release these, can I have your permission to use parts from your mod?

    Love the look of the compact version. It bothers me to know a rilfe's stock is clipping through the player model even though it isn't being seen, so seeing a cqb version of the h&k 416 is great. Can't wait to see a full release from this wip. Sick work

      Thank you, it was actually a lot quicker to make for me than the solid stock. That proprietary HK stock is a very weird shape to replicate 

      Could I have your opinion on the inclusion of holo scopes. I've made an EOtech styled holo sight and I'm still a bit unsure on if it fits in with the lore or not 

      I've looked at all the base game weapons for part, technologies, manufacturing methods etc, and it kinda seems like reflex scopes are a thing but idk an EOtech styled sight seems a little too modern

      But at the same time I want to include a number of options thanks to NVWO allowing variety
