"Upon arriving back in Novac, i told Manny what had happened at the Repconn test site.
His eyes lit up with joy, and he smiled to me, before thanking me for what i'd done.
He told me that the man i was looking for had gone north, and his next stop was in Boulder City.
Thanking him, i left the dino-bite, and decided to do that errand for Boone. i began asking around town about his wife.

Several hours of sleuthing later, i had several suspects. but at the top of my list was Jeannie-May. she seemed especially glad at the disappearance of Boone's wife... and didn't have a single nice thing to say.
When she left the lobby for a lunch break, i snuck in, and took a good look around, before finding a floor safe.
Picking it, i found several things. but what was important, was finding a bill of sale, detailing the sale of boone's wife.
I bit the inside of my lip, then i closed the safe, and went to my room, to wait for Boone's shift to start.

At 9:00 sharp, i confronted Jeannie-May... or, more or less, i asked her to come with me. told her i found something that might interest her out in front of the dinosaur.
She was an absolute fool...
I followed her, as she headed out to the highway in front of the big dino. i slid my hood off, and placed the first recon beret on, keeping an eye on that dinosaur.
She got out to the rocks, before turning around, to ask me what i'd seen... when she saw the beret.
I saw a flicker of either fear, or anger, flicker in her eyes, before i heard the sound of a rifle resound.
A red hole opened in her chest. then another in her stomach.
She fell to her knees, holding her wounds, making all sorts of sounds, gargling, as if asking for health.
Then finally, her forehead. the rocks were splattered with grey matter, and blood.

I sighed a bit, pulled the silver necklace out of my shirt, and kissed it, before i made my prayer. force of habit...
The necklace was like a cross with one extended end.
After i finished my short prayer, i headed up to Boone again, and told him what i'd found on her, and the like.
And i extended an invitation for him to come with me, seeing that he so thuroughly hated it here.
He accepted. we went back to my bedroom, and caught some sleep before we'd head off on the road in the morning."
