   That's the problem. Fresh install, no mods at all. No skeleton.nif and animations either. I thought it was Groovatron acting out, or Weapon Animation Replacer. But if it happens without them, something else must be at fault.

   2 things come to mind if you have any mods installed, namely meshes:
   
   Animations. Check your animation files in meshes if you have any, and if you do, try re-installing the animation mod.
   Or, the skeleton.nif mesh. Try using one from a mod or deleting it if it's there.
   
   If that doesn't do it, I'm not sure. Sorry.

   You didn't download a rheumatoid arthritis mod, did you?
   
   Unfortunately, I have no idea. It looks like the weighting on the hands has gotten screwed up, but if it's right off the install then I don't know why that would be. If you have any mods running try deactivating them, of course.
   
   Is the always like this, or do the hands ever revert to normal?
