About this image
This is a look at the new armor for Caesar. It sticks pretty close to the original Caesar outfit; in fact, I hadn't planned on changing it at all until I looked at some more images of Roman soldiers and emperors. As marked, Caesar has some shoulder gear, new footwear, a cape, and a laurel wreath.
Here's the progress on the full mod:
- Textures, textures, textures.
- My in-game tests revealed that the armors you see the most are, by far, recruits, explorers, and veterans. Primes are rare, and decanus soldiers are too. So I'm deviating from the large preview picture I posted a week ago. I spare you the details for now. But I'm still playing with level lists.
- I've created a companion with fully operational companion wheel and voiced dialogue. I have not discovered a way to do lip files however, so the companion will likely have a helmet with a mask on it. I'm still fleshing out all the dialogue and trying to adjust the volume levels.
- I want to add another companion--the hellhound from Q's critter resource.
- I've done some barebones work on a player home in the Legion safehouse basement. I'd like to add a merchant to the area, an armory, and everything else you'd want if you were going to play for the Legion. Even if you choose to kill the Legion, this will still be a cool home with a different aesthetic than the average vault or shack.
- Weapon level lists still need some adjustment. I've included BoilingOil's Edge of Eli as a replacement for the Liberator, equipped the Brutal Juggernauts with Bingle's Shishkebab Mk. II, and will incorporate some more unique weapons.
Once all that's done, I will send out a few beta versions to friends, debug, and release. I hope to get this all done by early March. Then hopefully this file can make a run for March File of the Month. Just remember to vote!
