About this image

Wednesday, at 2200-ish, the primary output valve on my hot water tank exploded.

Yesterday, my ISP\'s primary switching centre for my region decided to simply shut down.

It\'s not been a good week. Sorry, Clarissa fans, for the unexpected silence. :(

    Endorsed

You have my sympathy also, real life has a way of kicking you in the A@@ just when you think every is under control.

Nice shot of Clarissa, despite her unhappy mood

    Cheers

Ouch. With all that could happen it's good to know nobody's hurt.

Just reading about a primary output valve exploding gave me a migraine. I hope the mess wasn't as bad as I imagine it to be.

Regarding the ISP switching centre collapsing, it happens all the time in Buenos Aires. Shoddy telecom companies handling fiber connections, doing a terrible job about it and charging like they (and us) were Japanese.

Makes me happy to live where I do. It might be out in the boondocks but if we're off line for an hour once a year that's it. And I still feel cut off from the rest of the world.....

And of course it happens in the middle of the night :-( I'm sorry to hear about it. You have my deepest sympathy. I think Clarissas face provides a pretty good idea of how you must feel right now. Just hope that it is not as cold in your place as in ours. Winter returned full force a couple of weeks ago and they say that the sub zeros will continue until well after easter :-(

The weather here is being exceptionally flaky, actually. 20-ish one day, four inches of snow the next...

We're back to heating water on the stove and field-washing at the moment. Fortunately, the whole HVAC and Plumbing system is less than two years old and still under warranty (That cost an extra grand, but at this point I'm glad I sprung for it).

And yeah, her face expression is pretty much what mine's been the last two days.
