A Tennessee state senator is refusing to apologize for what many are calling a "tasteless" joke about pressure cookers in his blog in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Republican State Sen. Stacey Campfield posted a photo of a pressure cooker with "Assault Pressure Cooker (APC)" printed below it.

Right, so why do people call an AR-15 an assault rifle?
If you can get mainstream media, politicians and movies to say the same thing, even if it is false, ignorant people may believe it. In other words, spread a lie enough times and people will think it is true.
For instance many do not know that (real) assault rifles are banned for civilian manufacture. Not many people know this fact.
As a result I can see this model being used in game as a mine. Lots of potential, lots of potential.
I mean hell, I have to sign papers to buy Duct Tape at my local WalMart now.
Assault rifle = a selective fire (selective between automatic, semi-automatic, and burst fire) rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine. [Definition courtesy of armed forces]
I was bored so I decided to put a definition out there.
