Finally got it working properly in-game! No crashing! Finally! Will be included in an upcoming mod of mine called NCR Rearmed, which rearms the some of the NCR troops. Now to send out permissions requests. Fun...
Current ASR facts:
-Its automatic. (GECK RoF of 8, AssCar has 12~ish)
-The SR has a spread of .5~ something ALWAYS. The ASR has a spread that can be anywhere from .2 (may end up .3 or .4) to .8. This way it can be more or less accurate, seeing as how it is the same gun essentially. Making is just plain less accurate seemed stupid.
-It does the same damage as the SR, but obviously higher DPS. Might bump it up by a few points (literally, only by two or three points. This gun already outclasses the Assault Carbine in everything except RoF).
-It uses the cartridge shell of the assault carbine, because the vanilla SR uses the 7.62, which is just ridiculous to see coming from such a tiny upper receiver. Even, then, it still seems to large, but its better. (my mod may change the original SR casings, but that could create conflicts. We'll see).

Also, the resource I was using has no underside for the A2 handguard, meaning it would look really weird, and it would still clip on the side a little.
EDIT: @JONA, yeah I was considering adding the LMG to more level lists other than the pseudo-power-armored NCR troops.
EDITx2: If the clipping was referring to the hand animations, there is almost literally nothing anyone can do, other than replace a pre-existing animation. Yes, the Gamebryo/GECK is that bad.
