I give orders to the center one with the armor upgrade, the other ones do whatever I instruct that one to do. The other two don't have inventories I can access but otherwise it seems their companion wheels work. Lonesome Road ED-E even makes his custom noises and stuff... weirdest bug EVER.

That's pretty weird. I'm curious though, when you give one orders do the other two follow them ?
