*It was late and it was dark outside of Travisis tent where he was writing up his intel report on Nelson for Captain Dent*

“Young here Staff Sergeant Desert Rangers, we approached the town of Nelson following rumors of a Legion taker at the former trading town... myself and fellow ranger Corporal William Milliron approached the town from the south west and set up shop on a cliff face which provided us with a complete overlook on the Legion encampment..... It was fairly exposed during the day time but the camp seemed pretty busy and did not noticed us...however rumors about Nelson appear to be completely correct as the town has been overrun by Legion with at least four buildings being burned to the ground while the others are being used as housing and storage for a new Legion military base this side of the River”

“The town square has at least four crosses of which the Legion seem to have placed Captured residents on....as for the other town residents I can only assume they were either killed or shipped off to Cottonwood Cove either way we cannot help them now...as for the Legion forces within the camp they seem to be dug in pretty tight with guard posts and more crosses for captured Residents being put up every hour... it is likely that by tomorrow morning they will have the town completely locked down with I would guess based on what I saw at the camp at least thirty men most likely more.... “

“The town is well supplied with a water tower as well as the Legion HQ sending them reinforcements and supplies via the River just down the steep cliff face below the town....if the Rangers are planning on recapturing the town my recommendation would be to go in at night with a handful of rangers on the ground as well as providing sniper support from the cliff faces with their night scopes... “

“Regardless of my recommendation however the Rangers forces choose to retake the town they need to do it fast as the Legion soldiers numbers are considerably low (compared to how they will be) right now as the towns people seemed to have put up a fairly decent fight with at least half a dozen Legion soldiers being killed regardless the camp will received reinforcements’ soon and by that point the camp will not only be more of a threat to other camps and towns this side of the river but also be considerably more difficult to retake.... “

*Travis places the report in an envelope and then walks out of his tent up the hill towards Captain Dents tent placing his report through Dents tents envelope box just outside the tent before walking back down the hill to sit by the warm fire in the centre of Ranger Station Echo with a beer and a mole rat burger*
