      There's a lot of reference material for the AKs, and it is labeled as practice.

   It's a nice start, and you seem to have the proportions about right, but there are a few issues that I've seen.
   
   Obviously this is a WIP, but I would seriously recommend going back over some of your reference material and comparing each part of your model to it. There are some issues that you'll really want to address before you go any further. The Receiver, for example, is the wrong shape. As is the dust cover on top. You've got an indent behind the safety lever that I've never seen before on any reference image; the ejection port is the wrong shape and size. The cocking/charging handle is too small (Remember, someone's got to be able to easily grab that in a combat scenario)...
   
   I've made a quick feedback picture (http://i.imgur.com/tgziwlk.png), didn't have enough time for a full paint over I'm afraid.
   
   Also, I don't suppose there's any chance of you using a darker material next time, is there? It's kinda difficult to give crits when the material is washing out the entire render and making it difficult to see how the light's interacting with your smoothing.
