The one thing going in the Rangers' favor was that the Legion Centurion was committing his forces piecemeal in single waves from one direction at a time rather than a multi-direction attack at once. Whether that was due to poor communications or poor leadership was a topic that this particular Ranger did not care about at the moment. The Legion contubernium heading his way was a bit more pertinent to his interests.
