About this image

I'm so eager to see Fallout 4's character creator!!!

Anybody else struggling between making a male or a female character!?
Basically I'm not the type of player to do playthrough after playthrough, so it's Kind of a "tough decision" ;). I've done 4 playthroughs in total (FO3 & FNV combined), three of them with female characters.
I found playing a male character a bit more immersing but I think Immersion will suffer from the talking Protagonist anyway!? I enjoyed tweaking my character with both genders!

So, what are your thoughts, boys and girls!?

It never occurred to me to play as a female, I've used the same character and face since my second plat through of FO3, watching a female character in a skimpy outfit would be so distracting

It might be slightly titillating to play as the opposite sex initially, but soon it's just about the eye candy. As most rpg's I play offer 3rd person perspective, it come down to what would I rather look at all day, a mans muscular back and flat backside, or smaller, toned back and a nice rounded bottom. And, swinging the camera round, would I rather see a rough tough macho man with an impossibly chiseled body or a softer voluptuously curved one and a face I like gazing at. And boobs. Always with the boobs.
So then, given the choice I will always play as a sexless robot 'D

Imo, my first instinct is playing as a male then my second playthrough of the game im likely to play as a female for a different feel for the game.

It depends on the voice, I can't play a male Shepard in Mass Effect because I cannot stand the voice.

I'm almost always a male character player. That's probably because they're always the same exact person. :p I'll often go back afterwards and make a unique character for the setting (i.e. Fallout, Dragon Age, etc.).

Both are good. She looks kind of maniacal to me. He is just one tough dude. As for immersion - My only full playthrough has been with a one eyed old guy. As much fun the girls are, he is the only one I really have been able to relate to. Now he is kind of my trademark. And I still use him evert now and then.

I usually play first time as a male second time as a female but in the case of a game with a voiced protagonist I say pick the one you like the voice of the best.

    Female character 4 life.

Seriously though, can't tell you which to pick because that's really your choice. I would suggest make which ever one you don't use as the PC a follower. They look good together and wouldn't be bad at all in some screenshots kicking ass.
