It helps to be slightly unhinged.

I don't mean to be a ball buster/naysayer about this project, but the Pewpew already only takes 5 ammo per shot... It only has 10 ammo per clip, of course, but still, If it used 15 ammo per shot, that was a long time ago. It currently only uses 5 ammo... I do hope this helps development!

I had to comment saying that I love the names of your mods. Some people really have trouble coming up with catchy names for their mods, it's obviously a natural talent for you my friend. I haven't even tried out the mod yet but I am downloading it simply on the name alone.

    Seriously: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1136045-name-that-tune-err-mod/

    It's a gift!

Interesting. Hadn't even thought of that (I need to get those recycling perks). Nice to see an unintended bonus.

This simple file addresses a single gun, the Unique Laser Pistol, to not be so wasteful.

Was running around using the original Pew Pew yesterday and noticed

15 rounds in, at most 1 empty round for recycling out (seems to be a basic game mechanic)

    Talk about waste

So your mod also increases recycling (as a side effect)

i too prefer bullets to energy due to partially the fact that lasers and balls of plasma don't leave holes in your victim's head :3

this is making me want to say the name of the mod like "pew pew blews adieu" basically XD

@ your evil twin - I had the idea swimming around in my head of renaming it Pew Pew Pew Pew Pew Pew, but figured that'd be too tacky.

@ thomasd1979 - Understandable. Of course, being the indecisive bastard that I can be, I'd probably fumble around forever trying to make and stick with a different yet balanced version that I'd be happy with.

Honestly, I really don't even use Energy weapons all that much. Always more of a conventional bullet man myself. But damn if this powerful Pew-Pewer wasn't fun to try out. Its rediculous with Max Overcharge rounds. I decided to leave it OP, because it was OP to begin with. To weaken it any would be self-defeating, imo.

Now, is it just me, or has the Fat Man been nerfed into oblivion?

While I do agree that having a unique version of a weapon that only fires two rounds instead of a lot is annoying, the default of this gun is still extremely powerful. Especially for those of us with the fast reload perk. I'd like to have it shoot more than two shots, despite its name, but would feel less guilty if it also toned down the damage a bit to make up for it. You could increase its rate of fire to keep the DPS even (in fact this would be appropriate with the name), but it should really burn through the ammo at a roughly similar rate-to-damage ratio to vanilla. All of this is of course IMO.

Worth noting that one of the reasons it is called Pew Pew - rather than just as a reference to internet memes - is that it fires two shots. Pew, pew. But the name could easily be a nickname for any laser gun regardless of number of shots, so no biggie. Just thought I'd point it out.
