PLEASE HELP i installed it to get some mods on NV but it just deleted all my fallout 3 saves!! ( i lost like 30 hours , it hurts) how did it happen , can i still recover the files? i didnt touch any fallout 3 options during usage so im really pissed and confused
You should do the community a favor and remove this from here or put it hidden, it's obsolete and the new ones always spam because their mods don't work.....
13 years put of date and people will still say it is the goat. Where as NMM got updated a week ago and is still in top shape and people will say it is trash.
FOMM is still superior for Fallout 3 and New Vegas modding. NMM had problems reading older fomod scripts and (I'm told, I haven't checked myself) Vortex inherited those issues.
You shouldn't be using older scripts outside of EXTREME circumstances and even then, other mod managers offer better support like Mod Organizer 2. Meanwhile Vortex is better than NMM but still has some issues.

Both FOMM and NMM are bad because they directly place mods within the games Data folder, as well as being able to overwrite files, which means that if something goes wrong, you're fucked. There's a reason why people use MO2 or even Vortex these days because they don't touch the Data folder and use a virtual filesystem. It's objectively better.
So yeah, they are trash. They were fine back in the day, but nowadays there's no reason to be using anymore and in fact are only negatives to still using them.
Tf is wrong with this? Putting in the correct info whenever it says I have to log in but it just puts up some bullshit error message. Is it me or is this app just broken?
