Subtitles break the immersion. As does having to press ESC and turning on or off subtitles in the menu. Unfortunately, providing voice acting is not a trivial task for any mod author, therefore several otherwise great mods have to rely on the player having subtitles turned on.
This simple mod toggles subtitles on or off in-game via the hotkey "U". It requires NVSE (http://nvse.silverlock.org/).
If anyone knows of a way to generally display subtitles only for unvoiced NPCs from mods, I would like to know.
