can you make a version compattible with this race mod? I love it so much but also Like these armours but when I wear them they always clip and its annoying http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57390/? and maybe also other race mods
The only fix I've seen for the Boyd/McCarran crash is to use FNVEdit to delete Boyd's second uniform in her inventory. Only issue is I can't see Boyd's entry inside FNVEdit to delete her second uniform.
I found her under Non-Player Character 000e8993 LieutenantBoyd using FNVEdit to select NCROverhaul.esp But I'm not familiar with the strangeness of FNVEdit. How do you figure out what's the second uniform? Maybe it's 000BoydArmor "000BoydArmor" [ARMO:010013B5]? That's the one in Items (sorted) not in the FalloutNV.esm Edit: No, that doesn't work. I still can't enter the McCarran Terminal.
Yeah, still crashing. If I were to suddenly turn off this mod, would this crash my game? I keep a few pieces of NCR Armor at my player home. But this mod just retextures vanilla armors, to suddenly turn it off shouldn't break the game would it?
Because yeah, if this mod causes crashes, and it can't be fixed, then I think I just won't use it.
Use console commands to change her armor remotely. That way you don't have to enter the Terminal. I have wrote the commands you need somewhere above. Hope it helps.
If people are getting a Crash at Camp McCarran (inside the building) in 2022 I can help - this issue is simply because Lt. Carrie Boyd's armor is causing it, (I don't know why...Gamebryo space magic)
I do however know how to fix it - follow these directions and it should fix your problem, I'm going to assume that you have never done anything like this before, if you already know your way around the console, this should be even easier.
Open the console with ~ which is the key just above your Tab key and to the left of the number 1 key and type these EXACT commands.
It shouldn't matter what load order your game has the mod, the armor should have the same codes. If you like this mod and don't know how to work GECK or FNVedit to permanently fix it yourself, this is a great temporary fix that you need to do every time you start a new game if you have the mod. I will also explain exactly what these codes do so that if my directions don't work for you, it shouldn't be too hard to experiment with it to find out why.
prid 000F0678 - this code targets Lt. Carrie Boyd herself so that you can remotely edit her inventory from anywhere in the game. unequipitem 000EE693 - this code unequips the armor she is currently wearing (which is the NCR Mantle Armor) removeitem 000EE693 1 - This code removes the single Mantle Armor item from her inventory additem 000EE690 1 - This adds a single NCR Recon Armor item to her inventory equipitem 000EE690 - This forces her to put it on. (you could have her walk around in the Gomorrah outfits for all I care, but I decided on the Recon Armor.)
Used this today, thank you very much! Tried f*#@ing around with NVEdit but couldn't figure out how to actually remove items from her inventory after finding her in there
the ncr recon helmet, the one with the scrim, the grass/foliage camo all over it, seems to take both the 'eye' and 'hat' slot, when i think it should only take the hat slot. i think this is part of the mod and i dont think ive downloaded it wrong or anything like but its still something that bothers me even though its smal. anyone got any guides or help fixing this through something like geck or fnvedit? or simple esp edits?
This mod permanently alters the game files. I installed it to see if it was to my liking. After deciding it was not. I uninstalled it and removed it from my mod list. However, upon re-entering the game I found that, even though I had removed the mod, game textures and stats were still changed. I attempted to fix it by Verify files on Steam but had no success. I had no choice but to delete the texture fills and then completely uninstall my game then reinstall it to undo the changes. Screw this mod.
Idk about other peoples but for me 2024 and this mod still work great, if you have crashing issue at Camp McCarran when using this mod then go to page 2 of this comment section there a guy post a patchfix for that. And with peoples that have issue with naked NCR troopers DO NOT UNINSTALL THIS MOD DURING MID-SAVEOR MID-PLAYTHOUGH then otherwise you need to go to a location that dont have NCR troopers and wait 3 to 7 days in game for the NPCs to refresh their inventory
there's still naked troopers around even though I started a new game, I had to use the console to kill them n resurrect them back for they to use the new armor
Probably the best NCR replacer mod aesthetic wise, but it's just so buggy. It's 2024, and it surprises me that nobody has made any fixed version yet, unless I'm not aware of it. Mantle armor is broken on female. The NCR Trooper Overhaul - Distributed also riddled with issues as well such as some NCR dude having like 10 different armors in their inventory.
I don't need any DT changes, literally just a retex mod that replaces the low quality, boring FNV vanilla NCR armor with this one. Why is it so difficult?
Managed to figure out what was the cause of it. One of the meshes near the neck is incorrectly named the same as the right hand bone meaning the game uses the data for that instead of the actual arm. You just need to rename to something else and that'll fix it.
Anybody knows how to fix the black texture of the ncr trooper and ncr ranger helmets please I use ncr trooper overhaul - distributed if that affects something
My first playthrough with this mod went as smooth as butter. My second playthrough decided to be wonky with the presidential mission and camp McCarren. The first issue was fixed by quickloading until the verti sound effect kicked in when it should've, probably not related to this mod. The second issue is probably due to this mod, as the solution to the McCarren crashes for my playthrough has been to enter the building from the entrance closest to Hsu, then I went into console command mode and clicked around the general location of LT. Boyd and Captain Curtis until their names showed up. used "showinventory" and then removed their armour. So far the game works as it should.
Okay, I give up this mod and basically any mod with Dragbody's name, it's extremely problematic, every time my game breaks when I'm near Camp Mccarran. Does anyone know any alternative to this mod and Ceasar New Regime?
Not sure if you are still playing but I had a similar issue with Camp Mccarran, and I can tell you it happens cause either boyd, or curtis or both of these NPCs have an outfit from this mod, (maybe Hsu should be considered too, but for me it was mainly boyd and curtis) which causes the game to crash. To fix this I would disable the mod and what ever you need to get done at mccarran I would get it done as fast as possible, and once you are done there you can enable the mod and just not go back there.
^Have you tried this mod? Have you experienced crashes? And remember, this mod is a beta. Crashes are not exactly going to be uncommon, especially for a mod that is 9 years old at this point...

The sapper leg is fixed in an update file. I still cannot figure out what causes the crash with Boyd. I may have to completely redo the esp.

Next get yourself in a safe location for load, Doc Mitchell House or Lucky 38 is a good pick for safe loads
