TURN ARCHIVE INVALIDATION OFF THEN ON AGAIN. READ THE FAQ IN THE DESCRIPTION AND ALSO READ BUG REPORTING BELOW BEFORE REPORTING ANY PROBLEMS
Bug Reporting
If you are going to report a bug, first make sure you have toggled Archive Invalidation off then on and read the whole description. If your error still occurs post your bug report in a way that means I can actually help e.g. -
The id of the NPC if it's a bug with an NPC (open console and click the NPC and note NPC id at the top.)
If it is a problem with your character let me know the race you are using.
Screenshots are required if it is a visual bug and you want me to help. Please also be as descriptive as possible, if you aren't then again I can't help you and you won't get a response.
PLEASE READ THE ABOVE AND THE DESCRIPTION
If you post about seams (without following the installation instructions), asking me to make a compatibility patch for hair mods, or about white faces and black bodies, or just comments that are covered in the description they will be deleted (I'd rather spend my time working on the mod then answering questions that I have already answered).
Also if you guys have any suggestions for what you would like to see more of or something new from this mod please comment and let me know!
I do not have time to support this mod currently, feel free for anyone to release any bugfix patches for the mod. You can find one created by lunarionsilver here.
Disclaimer: The installation process is bugged, regardless of not selecting a companion mod change option, the mod still installs the Russell companion .esp file and for some reason the bloody .esm file is missing. That .esp file needs to deleted unless you have the required .esp files to make it run or the game will crash. And the uploader's disclaimer hidden in the comment section is appalling. The mod fix he referred apparently worked (i mean all does is add the .esm as far as i'm concerned) I traveled through the abyss to discover that, hope i save someone the time I lost trying to get this awesome mod to work. Can't let the +47k endorsers have all the fun while people like me are stuck in limbo, dying to not dare do another playthrough staring at the same playdoe faces.
Strange...I didn´t encounter that, but whta is weird: if I enable the "sweat" option, the installer puts a file called "FCO-sweat" in my data folder...without any extention, so I had to rename it to "FCO-sweat.esp"..... ??
Please, for anyone thinking of using this nowadays, don't. Not only is it outdated and unsupported, but it's also fundamentally broken, causing issues with NPCs and causing often severe performance issues. Basically, it's a bloated mess that doesn't do its job half the time and is liable to slow down or break your game. I very very much suggest using a mod like New Vegas Redesigned 2 Revised, Character Expansions Revised, or Character Kit Remake, as they aren't broken, actually do what they're supposed to, don't tank your game, and are modern and more supported.
I play with Fallout New Vegas Redesigned 3 - Open Source and (it require) Fallout Character Overhaul 2.3.1 All looks good, very vanilla friendly and works fine (400h+ in game) with small exception of this: fco - glowingone.esp That esp give game huge fps drop from 60 to 10, every time that I get close to glowing ghouls or a region with those.
I can accept some CTD from time to time or a broken quest (that I will do with console commands anyway when I found it) but I can't back to vanilla ugly npc's faces. No way.
None of those mods let me customize my ghoul character which is the only reason I was looking at this one. Is there a newer mod that adds race options like that?
For anyone need this, Im personally using vortex and don't know what happen but after uninstalling, the FCOmaster.esm is still present in the folder. I see this through FNVEdit and have to go and delete the esm manually. Hope that help someone
Uma dica recomendada: recomendo baixar a versão mais antiga 2.3.1. No meu caso, as opções 'African half-necrotic' estavam bugadas (pink head).
Tried all the bugfixes and supplementary mods, but still getting purple faces. Downgrading back to version 2.3.1 fixed everything. Recommend people try that one instead.
The update has caused some issues. I did a clean install, everything should be working fine, made sure to uninstall and open, make a save rq without the mod, reinstall the update and as I load in, a lot of the npcs do not have their updated features and most of them have the big red error sign floating over them. Idk, maybe I did something wrong but I even started a new game and Doc was an error as well. A little test disabling it made the game work just fine. I also used the hotfix referred and there was no change until I turned off the FCO Mod. No biggie, I can play without it for the time being but I would like to reinstall again at some point. Love the mod, keep up the good work.
i followed the instructions word for word and yet a black hooker [console says ID is 0012299F] on the strip has a white face, i do not use a body replacer, i do love this mod but thats mega distracting :p

you need this mod for NVR3R

I also had problems with purple faces, however only with African Half-Ghouls, and found a working solution:
Theoretically, only the "headhuman.dds" files from the folders should be needed, but it works for me anyhow, so better safe than sorry!
