This is a small mod that replaces the in-game gladius with a more true to life version. Being the history buff, and fan of Rome, that I am, I was very annoyed with the fact that the Legion's Machete Gladius did not resemble a real Roman Gladius, instead looking more like a kukri, falcata, or kopis. While in Rome "gladius" usually just referred to a soldier's sword and not particular style in general, I am using the conventional idea of what the gladius is. In reality, the Roman gladius was a shorter (anywhere from 2-3 feet), stout, straight blade designed for thrusting in close quarters whereas the in-game variant is obviously curved for a chopping attack style. Hopefully, this gives the Legion a more Roman like feeling as the game aspired them to be.
